This past summer I was fortunate enough to travel to Minnesota to help with a Wake For Warriors event. You can read about that trip here. While in Minnesota we decided we needed a winter event in Florida. Well after a few phone conversations with Dave, who is the founder of Wake for Warriors, we booked a house on Beautiful Lake June and the crew that was surfing in Minnesota were all on planes headed south. Doug came in from Kentucky, Kristy flew in from Arizona, Dave, Jay and Theresa landed from Atlanta and Stefan, Katie and Knoxville made the drive in from Jupiter, FL.

Dave had things very organized. Grocery list, Spread sheet on who is where and when. Only bad thing, Dave was the last one to arrive so Jay, Jodi and Myself were in control. Well we thought. We managed to get everything set up. Boats were in the water, house was open and the fridge was stocked. Really the plan was simple for the next 2 1/2 days it was Eat, Shred, SPACE TEAM, Shred, eat, shred, Dinner, SPACE TEAM, Shred again.

This will be one of the most memorible weekends in my wakesurfing career. The drive and dedication of these guys and girls to continue to push themselves and succeed in all they do is truly contagious. I am so humbled by them and I learn so much from them. The whole weekend went by too fast. We had some amazing sessions on the boat. Nothing but smiles and encouragement. We had some belly aching laughs at the house. Alot of long 8 man Space Team games going down. (If you aren’t familiar with Space team, go check it out in the app store on your phone) But what I enjoy the most with these guys is the brotherhood and friendship.

I could type for hours about all the great things from this weekend but I will let our pictures do the talking. It was great to spend time with everyone. And of course I can not leave out my favorite pup Knoxville. He is one amazing dog and I feel lucky I get to see him on his vacation days, but it is also amazing to see how hard he works for Stefan. Always there for his dad.

I have to send a huge Thank You- Dave at Wake For Warriors for letting me into this family, Nautique Boats for supporting this great organization, Phase 5 for supporting myself, Wake for Warriors and supplying me with a quiver of boards to bring to the lake, And Jay, Jodi, Theresa and Katie for being awesome and dedicating your time to help and be apart of all of this. And last but certainly not least PEW PEW PEW PEW AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
