Drew Danielo has been in the surf game longer than most. Originally an ocean skimboarder, Drew rode for Zap Skimboards and worked closely with Bob Smetts, the man behind Zap and Phase 5, to take his skimboarding behind the boat. This duo has been working together for 20+ years and it shows in the boards that they have produced together. The Hammerhead V3 is definitely the most unique board that they’ve come up with.
The main feature of the HAMMERHEAD V3 is the “peanut shape” rail design. This unique board shape gives the Hammerhead V3 a different feel on the water than any other board in the line. Rather than only one contact point on the water like most boards, the Hammerhead V3 has two, thanks to the peanut design, which keeps the board locked in and headed down the wave. This shape also gives the board more edge control and speed. What’s not to love about that?

The Hammerhead V3 also boasts a full deck EVA traction pad and kicktails on the tail and nose so you can ride it just as well in revert as you can regularly. Another eye-catching part of the Hammerhead V3 is that each size board (50”, 53”, & 55”) has its own unique graphic and when you line them all up together, it creates a big panoramic style graphic.
