The 2024 BC / Alberta Provincial Wakesurf Championships were held on Lake Koocanusa in southeast BC and Canadian Phase 5 team riders Jolene Allen, Caroline Villeneuve, Ryder and Dagen Duczek all capped off a successful weekend on the podium. Allen took first place in Pro Women’s, while Villeneuve was right on her heels in second and Emily Agate topped out the podium with the bronze medal.  It was a battle of the bros in the Pro Men’s Division as Ryder just edged out brother Dagen to take the gold.  Up and comer Kerry Williams rounded out the Pro Men’s podiums with the bronze medal.

Phase 5 team rider Bailey Rush, who was unable to ride due to injury, played a pivotal role in the success of the day serving as an official for several of the categories.

Though not a rider, but part of the Phase 5 family, Loree Duczek was presented with the second annual Tracy Wright Stoke Award for her efforts to champion the sport of wakesurfing and help encourage and build the wakesurfing community.

The Provincial Championships, presented by SWS Marine Group, featured 65 riders from across BC and Alberta in a unique inter-provincial championship that showcased the top riders in Canada’s western two provinces.

The Canadian P5 riders are now gearing up for the National Championships on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
