The 2022 World Wake Surfing Championships took place just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina this year at Stumpy Creek. You couldn’t ask for a better venue that provided the competitors with perfect conditions all weekend long. There were many P5 Riders that traveled from all over to compete at Worlds and the riding on display was impressive!
Every division was stacked all the way from the Juniors to Pros and there were a few nail biter finishes resulting in very close results in the Final rounds. There were a few new World Champions crowned this year and we are stoked to congratulate our own riders on their victories!
In the Juniors, Lee Hite took the division by storm and took home the World Title. In the Amateur Female Skim, Evie Shropshire claimed the World Title and looks forward to competing in Outlaw next year. In the Amateur Male Skim, Frankie Schifano is a World Champion and is poised to make waves in Outlaw next year. In Outlaw Male Skim, Jett Lambert capped off his dominating season in Outlaw and looks to give the Pro ranks a run for their money next year. In Pro Female Skim, Whitley Stewart is World Champion and is poised to be in the running for the top spot for years to come!
