One of the most technical riders out there, Whitley traveled around all season long shredding and sharing the stoke with tons of different riders. Not only that, she had a pro model release at the end of the season (the Stewart Pro) which really cemented her top status. We caught up with Whitley to chat about the season, her new board, and what the future holds for her.

The 2025 Snapper is a brand new skim style board for the 2025 season. If your grom has been struggling to keep the board under his or her feet, this is the board for you. The Snapper is a very forgiving board and easy to balance on with its wide outline that helps keep the rider in the wave. It comes equipped with a full deck traction pad so you can feel gripped to the board no matter where your feet are placed. It comes in two sizes – 36” and 43” – that have differing levels of thickness (⅜” core for the 36” version and ½” core for the 43” version) so even the youngest riders can sink the board under their feet with the smaller version and bigger kids have more float with the 43” version. Keep the 2” skim fin on for ultimate control in the wave or take it off for a nice, slick skim style feel!

The 2025 Gizmo is the OG Phase 5 foil board! It’s light, stiff, and delivers the right amount of float. Made with our FLEXtec V2™ construction, the Gizmo board takes every pump from the rider and transfers that energy effortlessly to the foil so you can ride farther and longer. Its extra wide rounded nose helps you recover after a foil breach and the pulled in bottom half keeps the Gizmo very maneuverable. You can ride it with or without straps so you always have the option! The track system runs 10.75” so you have plenty of options as to where you want to set up your foil. Push it forward for new riders who are just getting used to the lift that a foil produces and then push it back as you get more comfortable!

Bailey Rush hit the scene hard this last season, racking up wins in most of the contests she entered. Not only that, her free riding is stylish, technical, and intense whether she’s riding a skim style or surf! So when we approached her to design her very own pro model board, we weren’t sure which route she would want to go in but she jumped at the opportunity to create a fresh new surf style board that she could make her own!

We’ve heard you and here is the answer! New for 2025, the Minnow is a grom-focused surf style board that’s here to help them take their riding to new heights. The Minnow is built just like our other surf style boards in the Performance Surf line so there’s no skimping on quality with it. It’s been glassed with our Flightlite V2™ Pro Select layup for ultimate strength and lightweight performance and comes equipped as a twin fin with two FCS fusion fin boxes. This keeps the board locked in and easy to keep speed on while also being easy for a smaller rider to break the fins free on slayshes and more. It comes with a pulled in nose design to keep the board from catching the lip while going up the wave and features an aggressive swallow tail so the groms can really attack the wave!

At Phase 5, we’re always looking for new and exciting ways to make our boards even better. To spice things up for 2025, we’ve added a new version of three of our most popular surf style shapes known as the STEALTH line. What’s so special about these boards, you ask? Well, we’ve added basalt to the already strong and highly-durable innegra weave. The basalt not only strengthens the board even more but also gives it even more snap off the wave so you can boost as high as possible!

Parker Payne has been a part of the Phase 5 crew for quite some time. He’s always trying to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the water, whether it be on a skim or surf style board. When you go out and spend your hard earned cash on a brand new board, you want to rest assured that the board you’re riding has the same specifications as the pro you saw riding it, right? Well at Phase 5, that’s what we’re all about. We like to live by the motto “what you see is what you get”. There’s no fluff added behind the scenes to our boards and the boards that we send out to your local shop are the exact same boards that you see your favorite riders tearing it up on! Not only that but we make each and every board by hand in our factory in Venice, FL so we can monitor quality at the highest level.

Around this time last year, we released Jett Lambert’s pro model version of the super-popular skim style board, the Key. To commemorate such an occasion, we made some calls and got the approval to come ride and shoot at the legendary “Blue Lake” spot. This lake is such a rad spot to shoot because the water is beautiful and it’s a private spot so you don’t have to worry about any boat traffic messing with the calm water. What made this shoot even better was the inclusion of a helicopter to get some aerial angles. What a good day! Check out some shots from that shoot now!

First off, you’re probably wondering what FlightLite V2 means, right? Well, it’s our fancy term for our latest board construction technique. Since every board that Phase 5 produces is made by hand, that means we have the ability to implement these new techniques right on our factory floor so we know exactly how they work. We also get to see each board go from a chunk of rough foam to a finished masterpiece so we’re checking to make sure it lives up to our standards every step of the way.
