Drew Danielo

Former World Champion & current team captain/manager Drew Danielo is still killing it after all these years!

Drew Danielo is a renowned professional wakesurfer from Venice, Florida, and a pivotal member of the Phase 5 Wakesurf Boards team for over two decades. A former top skimboarder with ZAP Skimboards, he was introduced to wakesurfing in 2002 under Bob Smetts and quickly made his mark by winning the 2003 World Wakesurf Championships, beginning a streak that led to seven non-consecutive world titles (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013).

Drew's influence extends beyond competition with numerous event wins, innovation in tricks and board designs, as well as an induction into the Wakesports (2022). He also received the Legend Award at the 2019 World Championships. His contributions to Phase 5 include co-developing iconic boards like the Diamond and Hammerhead, which remain staples in the brand’s lineup.

After retiring from full-time competition, Drew focused on family and now works at Phase 5 Headquarters in sales, customer service, team management, product design, and rider development. He continues to support riders by sharing gear advice and participating in events, and team shoots. He is the ultimate resource for anyone looking to level up their riding or understand the roots of wakesurfing. A true icon whose impact will echo forever in the wakes!
